So, I finally broke down and started playing around with Canva.  I wanted to make ID badges for my two protagonists in one of my stories (One Piece hospital AU!), and thought it might be better suited for template-type designs over IbisPaint.

This is just a progression of my first ever project. keep in mind it is very simple -- simple enough that I probably could have done this all in IbisPaint in hindsight xD -- but I think it turned out okay....?

So first, I had to make a logo for the fictional hospital in my story.  I really had no clue where to start, so I just based it off one of Canva's provided templates haha. 

The medical cross ended being barely visible in the badge tho, lesson learned💀.  If I had been more creative at the time, I might've replaced that with a silhouette of a flamingo to make it more fitting-

Next was the ID card design.  So the way I approached it was, I did all the text and shape placement in Canva, and then masked the square for the photo ID with the character art in IbisPaint.

Then finally I wanted to see how they looked like on a lanyard, like so:

I botched the placement for both lol, they aren't centered plus the hole is punched through the hospital name... But I was too lazy to fix 💀

All in all I'm not even sure how/if I will use these tbh, just wanted to see how it looked.  But it was good practice nonetheless! 👍
